In 2024 I presented a paper at the Politics of the Machines Conference: Lifelikeness & beyond in Aachen about „Lake Stechlin – a lake machine. The paper can be found here and the conference volume is here.
In 2023, together with a group of scientists from data science, economics, linguistics, musicology, microbiology, we ask „What are the pattern of rise and decline?“ that occur in different domains of living systems and systems of life. First results are published here.
In 2022 I visited Stechlin Institut, DE and conducted my first artistic research project. I mapped more than 500 trees with markings at the lakeshore (here & here).
In 2022 together with artist Erich Berger (FI/AT) we gave a lecture about our collaboration during field work at Kilpisjärvi, Finnish Lapland in 2021). The title of the lecture was „Navigating the fine madness of art and science„
The deep time of life / death is a topic that interests me. In 2020 I co-hosted an open conversation „Talking about living things“ at SOLU space, Helsinki, FI of the Bioart Society
In 2019 I participated at the „First International Queer Death Studies Conference“ at Karlstad University, SE, and presented a talk about „The deep time of death.“
Organized by the Bioart Society, Helsinki, Finland, together with Margherita Pevere (FI/IT), in 2019 we gave a lecture performance on „What is life?“ at Kiasma, Helsinki, Fi.
